AWR1843BOOST: About SDK frames being triggered

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

The SDK video description says "the application does all the configuration of the mmWave Front End and triggers the frame", does this mean the start of measurement?

  • Hello Yousuke,

"Triggering of frames" means now the mmWave sensor will start to transmit chirps/frames, so yes, typically in that sense it means the start of measurement.

Before we could do that, it is necessary to first configure the chirps/frames that need to be transmitted and that is what is referred to as "The configuration of mmWave Front End"

Hope this makes sense. Let us know if you need any further clarifications.

    Regards,

  • How can I set "The configuration of mmWave Front End"?

  • Hello Yousuke,

In general, the mmWave Interface Control Document is the authoritative document on mmwavelink API offered by the frontend. You could also look at mmwavelink's doxygen documentation for a more user friendly, programmer oriented version of the documentation. It lists all the programmable APIs in detail.

You could also take a look at the SDK mmw Demo for an example demonstration. Please follow the mmWave SDK user guide for this purpose.

    Regards,

    Ishita
