IWR6843ISK: How is the windowing performed pre - FFT on the cardiac waveform in demo Vital signs code?

Part Number: IWR6843ISK

Hi e2e,

I wanted to know how the windowing is performed on the heart rate buffer. It seems like only the transition elements of the circular buffer are multiplied by the window coefficients. Is there a reason for this ? Please explain the intention behind doing so.

Thanks and regards,

  • Hello

Can you please help us understand which exact demo/Lab example code are you referencing as implementations may differ.

We will try and answer the question in a generic fashion.

Please note: The example algorithm and code implementations are provided  for demonstrating the Sensing and on-device processing capabilities of mmWave and are provided as is.  We expect users to implement their own algorithm on the device's programmable core. Although we provide basic explanation of algorithm, and knobs to tune the behavior,  detailed explanation of algorithm and implementation are outside the scope of the forum support.

    Thank you,

    Vaibhav
