IWR1843BOOST: Remote point cloud processing using Client and sever.py files

Hi,

I am having some issues with the server.py and client.py python code provided here https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=ALDijvgBJo0jeTVqhHhhMQ__VLyFKFf__LATEST.

I have downloaded the server.py and client.py files and have ran the code to measure raw x,y,z data. It measures fine and works well but only measures a certain amount of data each time I re run the code.

Example, The first time I run, it would measure say 20-30 lines of code ad stop with this error :

This is one of the errors that it shows but the other error is this:

The code can be accessed by downloading the industrial toolbox as seen below:

then locate the file and go into it to find tools --> remote access

Could you please try disabling the log magnitude range? Use the following:

guiMonitor -1 1 0 0 0 0 1

I tried this configuration that you suggested for guiMonitor and still the same error. Any other suggestions?

Hi Lucas,

I have tested your exact .cfg and did not see the same issue. Please make sure you are using command 'guiMonitor -1 1 0 0 0 0 1'

I see you have multiple .cfg files in your folder. Please make sure you are calling the correct .cfg by editing the 'radarCfgFile' variable in server.py.

I have made sure the 1843_cfg is being used when declaring it with 'radarCfgFile' and have made sure guiMonitor is -1 1 0 0 0 0 1. I am not sure what is going wrong...
