Hello Sir,

First of all, because I am an overseas user, this text uses a translation site.
Therefore, there may be mistranslations.
I appreciate your understanding in advance.Below are the questions.

There is Real-Time Tuning on mmWave_Demo_Visualizer.

There is a place where you can change the Range, and if you change the value and press the SEND button, a command like cfarFovCfg -1 0 0 10.0 will be sent to the radar side.

If this command is sent to the radar side, is it okay to interpret that the detection distance can be changed on the radar side?

As an addition to the above explanation, the Max value of Range was 10m when the radar was started, so it was

cfarFovCfg -1 0 0 10.0. When the Max value of the range is set to 5m, it becomes cfarFovCfg -1 0 0 5.0.

Then, the object detected at 5m or more when set to 10m is certainly disappeared in the display on the Range Profile for zero Doppler graph. However, even though the setting is up to 5m, there is a change in the waveforms of the Range Profile and Noise Profile at 5m and above.

(Please refer to the video below.)

I have one question regarding the above.

If I set cfarFovCfg -1 0 0 5.0 and send commands to the radar side, I thought that the radar would only radiate radio waves up to 5 m. Is this idea correct?

Or is it that the radar radiate radio waves of 5 m or more just by not displaying the data 5 m above on the display due to the calculation inside the software?

Also, I don't understand the meaning of the display waveforms of Range Profile and Noise Profile.

For example, in the case of the Noise Profile waveform, if it is at the 5m point, is the noise value detected at the 5m point displayed?

Or is it displaying the noise detected from the entire range detected by the radar?

(For example, is the noise value at each point calculated based on the noise detected from the whole?)

Anyway, I don't know what the Noise Profile is and what it stands for. Range Profile is also unknown.

Can you tell us about these?

Lastly, regarding CFAR, I received an explanation from another person that it seems to be a collection of quite diverse functions.

(Not your agent.)

Can you tell us what kind of function CFAR has and what it represents like the above Range Profile etc.?

(If you have any reference materials, we would appreciate it if you could show them.)

Personally, I suddenly decided to develop a device using millimeter-wave radar, and I didn't have the basic knowledge.
I'm sorry for all the elementary questions.

That's all for the question.

Thanks for your support.
Regards,
