IWR6843ISK: I want to know effects of Absence of Parts

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Hello

We are developing products using Radar system consisting of IWR6843ISK and DCA1000.

IWR6843 and PC are connected by serial communication (UART), and DCA1000 and PC are connected by Ethernet.

we used out of box example for our test

The characteristics of EVKIT's Antenna are very differenct to what we want so  After redesigning only the antenna part, you want to connect to the existing EVKIT Borad for use.

For this,  I investigated the delivery time for BOM parts of IWR6843ISK, but the delivery time for the following 6 parts is long, it is becoming neck.

To solve this issue I want to ask something

1. What problems occur when each IC is not mounted?

(e.g., LP87524JRNFTQ1 is not mounted.) What problems do you encounter? The board doesn't work? Or is there another problem?)

2. Is it possible to reuse each IC after removing it from EV KIT by Heat GUN?

If there is a problem, what kind of problem is there?

3. Is there any replacement part for each IC?

The parts that are currently being delivered issue are as follows.

1.LP87524JRNFTQ1      :  4-A + 2.5-A + Two 1.5-A Buck Converters With Integrated Switches, RNF0026C (VQFN-HR-26)

2.TCAN1042HGVDRQ1 :  Automotive Fault Protected CAN Transceiver With Flexible Data-Rate, D0008A (SOIC-8)

3.INA226AIDGST           :  High-Side Measurement, Bi-Directional Current / Power Monitor with I2C Interface, 2.7 to 5.5 V, -40 to 125 degC, 10-pin SOP (DGS10), Green (RoHS & no Sb/Br)

4.MX25V1635FZNQ       :  2.3V-3.6V, 16M-BIT [x 1/x 2/x 4] CMOS FLASH Memory, WSON-8

5.CP2105-F01-GMR      :   I/O Controller Interface IC USB to Dual UART bridge

6.BSS123                       :  MOSFET, N-CH, 100 V, 0.17 A, SOT-23

thanks

  • HI,

    1) LP87524 is the PMIC providing power supply to the radar device. So  yes, the device will not work without any power supply to it.

    2) We have not tried this before so cannot recommend.

    3) For replacement parts, it will be best if you create a separate post on the forums for each device. That way the expert for each of the device can provide feedback.

    Thanks,

    Eben.
