AWR2243: Time delay sampling

Part Number: AWR2243

When increating sample points, the customer finds that AWR2243 and the corresponding DSP does not support 1024 sample points. At this point, he has to consider the method of time delay sampling. After extending the corresponding ADC_Start_time and end_Time, it is found that the sampling interval is still all. The customer would like to start sampling only in the second half. May I know is there the way to achieve it?

  • Hello Cherry,

The AWr2243 does support 1024 samples. I assume the limitation might be coming from the DSP they are using.

I am not sure i understood the second question, could you elaborate more on what you mean by "sampling only in the second half" ? Could you give more details around what is the configuration you are trying to achieve and what is the issue you are facing?

  • Hi Vivek,

When the slope and sampling time are set, assume that the radar for MIMO post-processing is displayed at a distance of 100 meters. The customer intends to set the sample point to be at the last 50 meters, not all 100 meters. He thought it would be possible to do this by simply deferring the start and end time to a little later, but found it failed. Is there a way to achieve it?

  • Hello Cherry,

Changing the sample point does not change the range/distance of the object that is measured. he chirp slope and the sampling duration sets the min and max range that can be measured. What is the min and max range they want to observe?
