MMWAVE-DFP: Segmentation fault in rl_driver.c

Part Number: MMWAVE-DFP

Hello, I am working on a Linux port for mmwavelink. When I try to execute my application I believe I am getting a segmentation fault when rl_driver.c attempts to create a command mutex line (line 1895). Currently my mutex create api does not utilize the name parameter because to my knowledge linux does not support named mutexes. Could this be why my application is seg faulting? If so, is there a workaround for this? If this is not the reason for seg faulting what could be some other reasons?

  • Hi,

Could you step by step run the built application and pin point where you are hitting this fault?

For Mutex and Semaphore creation, it passes the string with device index, so application can have understanding to map these mutex and semaphore in case of debug. But you can ignore this function parameter in mutex/semaphore create function. I don't think this will cause the segmentation fault.
