Hi Experts,

My customer is building their own cascade board based on TI cascade board (MMWCAS-RF-EVM and MMWCAS-DSP-EVM). When the CSI differential impedance of TI cascade board is calculated from the wiring width and spacing, it is close to the upper limit of the CSI standard of 120Ω. Is there any problem with communication? They want to know the design intent.

    Hello Ken,

    I am not sure where you got 120ohms impedance. Below is the impedance calculated by the PCB manufacturer based on the stack up. Its targeted to be 100 ohms differential on both top layer and bottom layer. See below the impedance values computed, i have highlighted the lines relevant for CSI lines.
