Hi Expert,

I was using mmWave demo visualizer for test and it reached 70 degree in a couple of minutes .

  • can you please check if the configuration is correct ?
  • Is there any other test for this EVB ?

        Due to small form factor design of the board thermal performance of the EVM is not as good as other bigger boards. Hence you may expect higher temperature on the board. In the above demo reading from the internal temperature sensors showing 65-70Deg C junction temperature. You could operate upto 105 Deg C junction temperature. 

    To reduce the power dissipation, you may want to reduce the duty-cycle (or reduce the frame rate) or chirp configuration with lower duty-cycle, reduce the number of Tx, Rx pairs etc... Please note all of these will have trade-off with performance of the operation/system. 

    If you are designing your own system, then you may want to refer below app-note on "Thermal Design Guide for Antenna on Package mmWave Sensor".
