IWR6843ISK: Long range and area scanner demos accuracy in the data

Part Number: IWR6843ISK

Hi,

I have fine tuned both the cfg files on the area scanner and long range on ISK for a range of 16 m. In long range cfg I can see the target uptp 16 m but the data is not accurate. For instance if a known target is moving in the straight line the values on the X and Y axis are not accurate enough. In area scanner cfg I see accurate data but not upto 16 m. For example if a known target is moving in the straight line the values on the X and Y axis are accurate to further use this data as an input to another process but I need the range to be increased with no ghost points. If I assign very low allocation parameter for the target it leads to ghost points and if I don't decrease I do not see a target at a far away distance. Could you please help me out with the points to be considered and how to fine tune the cfg with long range or area scanner with the accurate data on the application for ISK?

Thanks inadvance.

  • Hello

information from applicable demos that provide high level data such, track's, grouping, velocity components are based on high level algorithms. These may be predictive in nature and decide the location based on algorithm  capability and implementation allowances.

if the intent is to see the actual mmWave/Radar based data parameters such x,y,z and radial Doppler components please use the OOB demo and tune it for required distance and detection.  OOB demos apply simple processing with knobs for tuning lower level processing.

Please look at the following to for how to see relevant data in OOB demo GUI
