The customer found an error: On page 3of this document, in the equation, please look at the arrow pointing to: here should be the one above multiplied by 2 π t.

  • Hi Cherry,

                  In order to obtain phase from the frequency of signal which varies with time, we need to integrate the angular frequency, as shown:   

                 

                  This is because the phase accumulated over a period of time can be thought of as area under the frequency time curve or axis. Thus by using the above integration for the frequency equation provided in the document, we get:

                   

                     Thus we are able to achieve the phase of the linear FMCW chirp as shown in the document. Hope this clears the doubt.
