LDC1614: FIN_DIVIDERx

Hi Team,

I would like to ask about FIN_DIVIDERx.

1)
It seems the description of Channel 1 is different from other channels as the following.
Is it the same meaning?
----------------------------------------------
- Channel 0, 2, 3

- Channel 1

----------------------------------------------

2)
Could you tell me the background of why FIN_DIVIDERx must be set to ≥2 if the Sensor frequency is ≥ 8.75MHz?
What does occur if we deviate the range?

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Yaita,

The FIN_DIVIDERx fields work the same for all of the channels, as confirmed in descriptions in other parts of the data sheet, like section 8.2.4, and in Table 43.
It is most likely an oversight in one of the previous document revisions that will be corrected. Thank you for pointing it out.

The requirement for FIN_DIVIDERx ≥ 2 if Fsense ≥ 8.75MHz comes from processing & timing in the digital core. In the event this requirement is not met, we cannot offer any guidance other than the device may not work reliably.

    Regards,
    John
