TUSS4470: TUSS4470 and b59070z0285d121

Part Number: TUSS4470

My application is fuel level sensing using TUSS4470 and b59070z0285d121. I have a lot of confusion in register configuration and filter capacitor selection, do you help me?.

  • Hello Midhun,

Thank you for your question, I am happy to help with configuring the registers on the TUSS4470.

The B59070Z0285D121 is a 285kHz transducer, so it is necessary to ensure our filter settings do not attenuate the signal of interest.

Are you using an EVM to evaluate the TUSS4470? If so, we can use the GUI to evaluate and alter the settings of the device. Otherwise, we will have to change the register settings through programming.

For start, I would recommend setting the center frequency of the bandpass filter to 284.43kHz, see table below.

Then, I would conduct tests to evaluate the Q factor most suitable for your ultrasonic application. The two config registers below will be used to change the filter settings of the BPF.

For CFLT, there is an equation in the datasheet to offer component value guidelines (see below).

Please let me know if you have any questions,

    Regards,

    Jacob
