Hi, I'm using AWR1243P cascade radar (Rev C) EVM. I'm have following doubts:

1. I'm configuring the device with lua script for the aquisition of around 30s with 27272 number of frames and frame periodicity as 1.1ms. I have enabled all the tx and rx channels and transmitting one pulse per tx. While performing the transfer of file from WinSCP, I'm not able to receive the index file of each chip. I have checked in the SSD folder, but i couldn't find it there also. I made sure that there is enough space in SSD for holding the data. Can you please suggest to get the index file for each chip. (I'm using mmWave studio version 2.1.1.0 and mmwave_dfp_01_02_06_03 )

2. Is it possible to configure the virtual channel with the mmwave studio ?

3. Does the frames lost randomly? If yes how can we check, which frame is missed using mmwave studio.

Are you able to see a different behavior if the size of transferred data is lower?

Yes, with the less number of frames I'm able to get the index and data file correctly.

if this issue is related to the limited bandwidth of the connection there is no solution.

You need to reduce the amount of data transferred

Hi Cesar,

Thank you for your feedback. But i couldn't find the index file generating in the SSD folder itself and not during the transferring of data to PC.

Also some of the frames lost during the acquisition, do you have any solutions to find out which frame has lost?

Sorry for the late reply

If the index file is not created it is not possible to find out which frames are lost since this information is in the index file

The only solution I can think of is to reduce the amount of data transferred

1. But the index file will not be generated only in sometime. Most of the case index file will be generated.

So how can I know which frames lost when the index file generated.

2.I have exactly the same issue with MMWCAS-RF-EVM and MMWCAS-DSP-EVM as described in this question:

In my case, parameters are described in the 1st post of this thread. I want to ask if there is any solution?

Hello Cesar,

I have attached the link for folder containing the captured data and index files. As I mentioned in the first post of this thread, I have configured the number of frames to be 27272 and number of loops to 1. But I received only 9868 pulses.

Hi,

Please take a look at the following function

C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\MatlabExamples\4chip_cascade_MIMO_example\utils\dataParse\getValidNumFrames.m

You would need to modify this function to read the time stamp information from the index file.

Unfortunately this is all the information we have available.
