TMP116: Long-distance transmission of I2C / SPI

Hi,

1m harness is used to connect the TMP116 and the control board.

(1) Please teach if there are any precautions or countermeasures when routing I2C/SPI with a harness.

(2) Currently, we are considering placing a bidirectional logic level translator between the TMP116 and the control board. I would like to know if there are recommended circuits or recommended ICs for each I2C / SPI.

Thanks for the post - 1 meter distance is probably not an issue, unless the cable adds too much capacitance to the line, this can be controlled by the wire type and finish of it (i.e. twisted pair) - you can see the recommendation for that in the I2C spec itself.
