lab0007 mmr reduce CAN the bitrate lower to 250000

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843

Hi TI folk's

I have gone through the user manual of the MRR developer guide there's about CAN.

On mrr_18xx_mss/mss_main.c there is something about the can and bit rate could any of the folks help me in changing the bit rate to 250000 bit rate

so my whole system runs on the same bit rate

I tried flashing object_data_over_can just for checking weather CAN is working or not but I want to work with MRR as per my application, was not able to dump any CAN message from the radar at 1mb/s and switched to can mode in S2

do I need to flash can_sbl also for it to make it work

if possible could you direct me in a right way

regards

Venkat

  • Hi,

What is the hw architecture of your application?

Is the AWR1843 sensor connected to a CAN network?

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • no, it is not connected to the CAN network of the vehicle still because we are running the whole vehicle on 250000kbs and not to disturb it now

I connected it separate by a CAN module on the different network where it is only connected I tried with an inbuilt CAN BUS of the Nvidia AGX I'm not getting any can message

can you direct me on how to reduce the bitrate 250000

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    in case!!! if not possible

if possible we can go with a different network for this but we are not getting any can message even after flashing object_data_over_can from the can bus as we are generating a point cloud from radar and converting it to an object detection model via ROS framework and using navigation stack

please direct us in the right way we are getting over our deadlines

  • Currently, not connected to our CAN network as all our systems are running on 250000kb,/s I connected it to another CAN network to Nvidia NX CAN transceiver it worked for a vehicle, but I'm not getting any data on the TI radar

we are currently using it for automotive use

please help us resolving this issue if it works we can use it in a separate network but nothing is working as I'm not able to receive any data from the radar
