IWR6843AOP: Use CLI port to send data and Data port to receive configuration commands

Hello Community,

I am using IWR6843AOP and want to send more data through data port (Standard COM Port), but since data port has maximum baud rate of 921600 Mbps, I could not send more data. I observed CLI port (Enhanced COM Port) has maximum limit of 1843200 Mbps, so wanted to use this port to send data and Standard COM Port to receive commands.

Is it possible to send Data via CLI Port and Receive configuration on Data Port ?

Please let me know if there is any way to use UART in this configuration.

I am using IWR6843AOP for vital signs, and want to transfer more alorithm data along with vital signs and hence I need more bandwidth.

Hello,

Currently through XDS110 USB port the configuration is RX and TX, but the Data port is only TX. Thus only data can be sent from the radar to the PC and not the other direction around, so swapping ports will not be possible. The maximum data is 921600 bps because that is the maximum that the most terminal emulation programs can support, not a limitation of the device. Please look at the following thread for reference:

The maximum according to the TRM the max baud rate is 3.125 Mbps which is well above your target.
