AWR2243BOOST: AWR2243 + ADC 1000

Part Number: AWR2243BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243

Hello everyone ,

I am using mmwave_dfp_02_02_03_01 package and I have connected DCA1000 to AWR 2243 and run he procedure as mentioned in mmwave_dfp_user_guide.pdf.

according to this pdf (/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/1023/mmwave_5F00_dfp_5F00_user_5F00_guide.pdf)

page 13:

1. Connect AWR2243 EVM and DCA1000 setup to Windows PC as mentioned in section
4.2
2. Open windows command prompt and go to ‘mmwave_dfp_<ver>\ti\example\’ path.
3. To run mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Example application goto to
‘mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Example’ directory and run mmwavelink_example.exe
4. To run mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Monitoring application goto to
‘mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Monitoring’ directory and run mmwavelink_monitoring.exe

but when I run this mmwavelink_example.exe I got this message and AWR2243 does not power up .

C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_03_01\ti\example\mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Example>mmwavelink_example.exe
================= mmWaveLink Example Application ====================

Device map 1 : SOP 4 mode successful

Device map 1 : Device reset successful

rlDeviceEnable Callback is called by mmWaveLink for Device Index [0]

Does anyone know how can I solve this probem?

Thanks a lot .

  • Hello Feri,

    Have you confirmed the SOP jumpers are populated correctly according to SOP 4 mode i.e. [SOP2 SOP1 SOP0] = [0 0 1]?

Also, what is the ES version of the AWR2243 device you're using? Is it AWR2243 ES1.0 or AWR2243 ES1.1 (You can refer to the device marking section of the AWR2243 Silicon Errata document for more information on that)

mmwave_dfp_02_02_03_01 package is architected for AWR2243 ES1.1 and hence I'm just making sure you're using the correct firmware according to the device type.

    Regards,

    Ishita
