MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: Is there a way to control the DSP EVM without the mmWave Studio?

Using MATLAB to configure mmWave studio for device configuration is one option, but yes there is a limited functionality on that front and we do sometimes run into errors. The only reason for using Matlab is its easiness for algorithm development but currently we have not spend the time to understand its complete reliability. 

The other option is through the lua scripts. This will not bypass studio but will automate a lot of things to make your life easier. mmWave Studio user guide talks about this briefly, please refer that. 

I apologize if this doesn't provide you a better/reliable solution but this is all we have at the moment.

I will try the Matlab approach today, which is defined in Section 22 in users guide

I have already run Lua scripts from the mmWave Studio, which provides some level automation

I can launch (via python script) the mmWave Studio with an associated script (as defined in Section 23).  This allows a single script to be executed (via command line)
I really need to execute a series of Lua scripts from the command line not just one.

Is there an Interface Description Document (ICD) that defines the interface between the mmWave Studio and MMWCAS-DSP-EVM?

That is, is there a way to convert mmWave Studio commands like "radar_mode = ar1.selectRadarMode(1)" to commands that are sent over Ethernet to the DSP_EVM?

If there were such a document, our host SW (python) could bypass Studio and control the DSP_EVM directly....
