AWR1843BOOST: CLI Driver integration error !

Hi,

cli.c and cli_mmwave.c are the only source files for the cli utility. Could you ensure the following:

1. If any modifications have been made to cli.h, or cli_internal.h, they are also included in the project? In this case, the source files would also have to be changed to include these .h files from the local location instead of <SDK_INSTALL_LOC>\ti\utils\cli

Also, in the projectspec file/project settings, you will have to ensure that the prebuilt cli library is no longer being included in the linking process (this can be done by removing the -i and -l options corresponding to the pre built cli library that get passed to the linker).

Also, could you check which function of the CLI fails?

where can I find the projectspec file/project ?

for the first point, no  changes were made to .h files

for the secod point I removed the cli library from the arm linker as shown below 

the issue remain and the function that fails is sensor start function

So i found the projectspec file as you can see

and I removed the -I corresponding to the pre built cli library as you told me 

but i have still the same error

I tried a .cfg from the SDK as you suggested and one of them worked fine with no errors this is the file that worked : 

profile_2d_aop.cfg

However, it doesn't use all the three channels of the AWR1843 board ( it uses only 2 Transmit antennas) that's why I modified it a bit so it can use 3 channels in the following .cfg file 

profile_3d_aop.cfg

when I first load the first file there are no errors and it works fine then when I load the second modified file it also works fine but when I load the modified file another time it shows the same error and it doesn't want to work again unless I reboot everything. the profile_3d_aop.cfg file only works once and only after I have already loaded the profile_2d_aop.cfg first. I did not figure out this strange behavior. any help please ? and thanks 

PS : the second file was updated with the perl command line

This indicates an error with the configuration only. We do have a 3D profile as reference here: C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\packages\ti\demo\xwr18xx\mmw\profiles.

Could you try running this? You can make modifications by using this profile as a stencil.

I already tried the 3D profile existing in the SDK and it didn't work either. In fact I tried all the profiles in the C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\packages\ti\demo\xwr18xx\mmw\profiles. and only profile_2d_aop.cfg works !

Hi Aniket Mahajan I found that the problem occurs when I use the TX3 antenna for example if I send 3 chirps on the same TX or switch between TX1 and TX2 it works fine most of the time but when I use TX3 once or more it doesn't work !
