We have fabricated IWR1642 and connect it to the computer. But the COM and UART ports are not detected in the device manager of the computer. The two LEDs in the IWR1642 were switched on and the NRST LED blinked when the NSRT button was pressed. I cannot detect what is the problem. Can you please help me to solve this issue?

Hello Manoj,

Have you followed the mmWave_studio_user_guide.pdf closely for the setup of the mmWave Device?

Are all the necessary drivers (as documented in the user guide i.e FTDI and XDS110) properly installed?

Have you connected the required USB cables to the board in the concerns?

It would be good if you could confirm on the above items and also send a picture of your device manager window.

Hi Ishita,

Yes I followed the user guide. The board from TI works fine. But the newly fabricated and assembled IWR 1642 board (fabricated based on the design database and layout files) is not working.

I have attached the screenshot of the device manager below.
