AWR1843BOOST: About DS4 LED

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843

Hi, the AWR1843 Boost LED (DS4) has been powered by 5 V and has been grown.

In the manual, it is written as follows.
'This LED is used to indicate the state of nRESET pin. If this LED is glowing, the device is out of reset.
This LED will glow only after the 5-V supply is provided.'

Is it okay?

  • Hello Hiroyuki,

The DS4 LED should be on. This means that the reset pin of the device is pulled up to VIO, which means that the device is out of reset. This is the expected behavior so there is nothing to fix.

The NRST pin of the device is active low.

NRST pulled low -> LED is off and the device is in reset

NRST pulled high -> LED is on and the device is out of reset and operating normally.

If you push the 'NRST' button, you should see the LED turn off when the button is pressed, which means that device is in reset when the button is pushed. Once the button is released, the LED will turn on, indicating that the device has come out of reset.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Ishita

  • Hello, Ishita

Thank you for your polite commentary.
For the time being, it's okay that DS4 keeps lighting.
