DCA1000EVM: mmWave Studio

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1443, AWR1443

Hi,

I got a IWR1443 connected with DCA1000. The output shows like Fig1. I check the DCA1000 debugging handbook (fig2). And I am sure that 5V/3A power is supplied to the DCA board and the IWR1443 separately. Do you know how to handle this?

Thanks,

Wu

  • Hello Jiacheng,

This can also happen if there is some device configuration issue.

Can you try running the Capture Demo script that is provided in the mmWave Studio v2.1.1 installation. This script can be found at the following location: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\mmWaveStudio\Scripts

You should run the "DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua" file.

If that also doesn't work, please send us your complete mmWave Studio output log.

  • Hi,

I restart the mmWave studio again and I find that there is an error when I click RF-power up. The whole output is shown in Fig1,Fig2,Fig3.

Also, I try to use the DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua. It is stuck in the Downloading Firmwave to the Device(Fig4).The output is shown in Fig5.How can I handle this? What is the meaning of BBS power up asyn is not received.

    Thanks,

    Wu

  • Hello Wu,

From your log I can see you're using an older version of AWR1443 device i.e. ES2.0.

For that, you would need to download an older version of mmWave Studio and use the corresponding firmware. Please download MMWAVE-STUDIO_01.00.00.00 | TI.com
