- Are there similar FS documents planned for the LDC1612 or LDC1612-Q1. That would help them a lot in the new development.
- Another alternative, of course, would be to replace the LDC1612 with LDC3114-Q1. But if you see another alternative here that is possibly even ASIL-B ready or has an approval after IEC61508.On the one hand, the 3114 is based on the 2114 and the has only 12 bit resolution, but the new 3114 has a 24 bit RAW_DATA value.
We need the great resolution here because we have to recognize both a change of 50µm and a change of up to 1mm. We know that the sensitivity here is not linear, or we try to compensate by a linearization. But the 24-bit resolution of the LDC1612 is essential and the LDC3114-Q1 should deliver the same performance here.
