IWR1843: Shielding

Hi everyone!!

I am working with IWR1843 and I have seen in the document "mmWave Radar Device Regulatory Compliance Guide” - Section 5.3 “Spurious Emissions” that there is spurious at 14,4GHz harmonics. To solve this issue, the document recommend to use a shield over the IC with some gaps for the antenna traces. 

Does anyone know if there is a standard shield that fits properly to this IC, or may I contact to any supplier to make a custom one for this application? I guess if this is a known problem, maybe there is a "standard" shield ready to use! :)

    Hello,

        Hardware design, PCB, components placement etc would vary from one customer to other customer based on the application requirements. Hence there is no standard shield available, you may have to contact machine shops or similar vendor who could help on the enclosure developments.
