Hi,

My customer would like to configure the PMIC register by mmwave studio 3.00.00.14 and found PMICConfig tab in GUI.

But they failed to use it after they ran LUA to configure all 4 devices. Customer got error after click set button.

Error info:

[10:59:30] [RadarAPI]: ar1.SelectPMICDevice(1)
[10:59:30] [RadarAPI]: Status: Failed, Error Type: PROTOCOL ERROR

Would you pls kindly help to check if PMICConfig is supported in mmwave studio 3.00.00.14? If yes, would you pls kindly advise what is missed?

Hello Chris,

Yes, the PMIC config is supported.

Are the I2C lines connected from the AWR device to the PMIC? Are there any other devices on the I2C bus? Which PMIC is being used?

Adrian,

Customer is using MMWCAS-RF-EVM +MMWCAS-DSP-EVM.

Have you tried PMICConfig on these EVMs successfully? I don't have cascaded boards on hand now and can't try.

I just got a set of cascaded EVM and tried PMICConfig, but got same error as customer. Would you pls check again?

Hello Chris,

I am not sure if this has been validated on the EVM. By default, the resistors connecting the MMIC I2C and the PMIC I2C are not connected. Can you try connecting these resistors and test again?
