Dear ,

i have some questions about Calibration (PHASE and ILL XTALK) :

1) OPT3101 MUST OPERATE in CONTINUOS MODE or i can CALIBRATE in MONO SHOT MODE ?

2) For XTALK and PHASE CALIBRATION , it is enogh the RANGE 0 ... 35 °C altough it must operate from -20 up to +40 °C ?

Hi,

1) Are you using the SDK for perform the calibration? Best route is to follow the SDK, which allows you to use either mode for operating. If you are not using the SDK you can still refer to the SDK process to performing the calibration.

2) You should run at least one test for the full expected operating range to be sure. For example if you use 0 to 35C to get the coefficient you should still run a test over the range to make sure performance is as expected.

Hi Alex ,

i am using my own hardware , i don't have the SDK , it is better to calibrate in continuos mode ?

Hi Livio,

I believe SDK is always calibrating in continuous mode even if final mode is monoshot. You can use the same process as a guide for your calibration.
