Yes,

You don't need to perform the post processing.

You should be able to capture only the raw data.

Can you please provide some thread links?  I have spent a lot of time and read so many threads related to similar problems but I could not understand that by using the mm-wave studio, DCA 1000, and AWR 1843, how to save the ADC data without doing the post-processing. without the post-processing in the ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\mmWaveStudio\PostProc folder, the adc_data.bin file does not update.

If, without post-processing, I could not save the ADC data, can you please tell me if there is any limitation on the chirp and frame configuration for which I can do the post-processing?

As in the figure below for chirp and frame configuration, I cannot do the post-processing. Please tell me the limitation and 

keep them in mind when selecting the chirp and frame configuration.

Note: In the above chirp configuration, I am using a single transmitter and single receiver case.

1. Actually, I need more than 255 chirps in one frame (In my case, 1000 chirps in the frame), so I have taken start chirp 0 and end chirp 200 (I should take it 199) and the number of chirp loop 4 so that the total number of chirp becomes 1000 in one frame.

2. If I select the end chirp Tx=0, then also it does not work. 

3. I have tried with some other chirp configurations for those it works. 

So I want to know, what are the factors I need to keep in mind to select the chirp and frame configuration. 

Hi,

I think we need to simplify the chirp configuration to identify when the capture does not work.

In the past one issue that we have seen with DCA1000 capture is when there is too much data for the Ethernet bandwidth available.

Could you try to reduce the number of ADC samples and see if it works?

Thanks for your suggestion. I will try it. I am sure that this is due to some issue with the data rate or some memory issue. But I want to know what those limitations are and how to decide the chirp and frame configurations.  

Hi,

We know that there is a limitation in the Ethernet bandwidth. I think it is around 600MBps if I am not mistaken.

By reducing the data transfer you should be able to get the data transferred

Are you talking about the below figures? Here we can select the data rate up to 900 Mbps. Please can you tell me how I would know that the chirp and frame configuration is exceeding the limit of 600 Mbps (or 900 Mbps)? Can you tell me how to calculate the data rate from the chirp configuration and frame configuration? So that I can select the chirp and frame so that it should not exceed the maximum limit.

1. If I am using a single transmitter and single receiver, then should I need to multiply by 4 or not?

2. The above-calculated data rate should be less than 600 Mbps?

3. how many bits will be single ADC samples?
