Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone can help me with the coil parameters.

For proper configuration of the LDC3114-Q1 i need the following parameters of the coil:

Sensor Rp -> for Sensor Rp range
f SENSOR

I can't find this information in the User Guide.

Further the mechanical data of the coil would help too. (din / dout / Turns / Layers ...)

With this information i could calculate the upper parameters with your spreadsheet.

Hello Florian,

The Boost-LDC3114EVM sensor coils have the following parameters:

9mm outer diameter
2 layer
14 turns
5 mil traces
5 mil spacing
220pF cap
Inner diameter = 1.888mm

This gives free space calculated values of 5.718MHz for the sensor frequency and 4.78kOhms for the Rp.

Hi Justin,

I have double checked your results with the TI Spread Sheet and the Webbench Coil Designer.
The results are not the same but in the same size. My results with this tools are 6.1 MHz and 4.1 kOhms.

I have now configured the register SENSOR0_CONFIG of the LDC3114-Q1 for RP0 = "800 Ohms < Rp < 10 kOhms" and FREQ0 = 3.3 MHz to 10 MHz.

The EVM works well.
