AWR1843AOPEVM: Need some basic information to start development on AWR1843AOP EVM

Hi, I have previously worked on AWR1843BOOST. I flashed "lab0007_medium_range_radar", made my own application software. The performance was very good. Now I need some basic information to begin working on AWR1843AOP EVM, following are my concerns

1. What are the pre-built labs can AWR1843AOP EVM can support, according to link we cannot flash lab007_medium_range_radar on the mentioned device.

2. I am using Uniflash 7.0.0 , and in the devices section I can't see AWR1843AOPEVM, so how to flash a different firmware on the EVM.

3. Currently the EVM is flashed with out_of_the_box demo, so where to get the source code of this out_of_the_box firmware.

4. Is there any other GUI except the demo visualizer which can directly connect to the radar running out_of_the_box firmware. A GUI that can give a graphical representation in 2D for better visualization.

Hi,

1. I will get back to you for this

2. Could you try flashing with AWR1843 Boost EVM? Both are quite similar, so it should work.

3. Source code for this is in the mmWave SDK under ti/demo folder.

4. No GUIs for labs based on gen 1 devices support the OOB demo output data format (TLV format) as far as I am aware. You can write your own code for something like that. 5. We recently created a lab for AWR2944, the High End Corner Radar Lab. While this lab's GUI isn't a plug and play solution with OOB demo, the TLV format it expects the pointcloud in is the exact same as the OOB demo. You could modify the GUI of this lab as a starting point, or alternatively have a look at my script (or both) to create such a GUI.

Hi,

In Automotive Toolbox 3.5.0, Obstacle Detection AOP is the only lab that supports 1843AOP device currently.
