Under C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_04_00_03\packages\ti\utils\sbl\xwr68xx_sbl.bin , i have a question to clearly.

As you know , we burning xwr68xx_mmw_demo.bin to qspi flash use uniflash tool, Why is there a sbl program?

What are the main functions of sbl, Is it just an upgrade image?

Hi,

Yes, the primary purpose of the SBL is to allow image upgrades in the field, such as Over The Air updates. You can also use it to add additional security or authentication to your images, as you can then validate the images from the devices before they are saved/loaded to flash.
