AWR1642BOOST: the range detection of the driver vital signs lab is not stable

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642

Hi,

we tried to use the driver vital signs lab to measure breathing rates and heart rates.

We put the AWR1642 EVM behind a person sitting on a chair, but we found the distance detection is not stable.

As you can in the attached video, the range profile on the GUI is not stable even the person was sitting on a chair without obvious motion.

How do we set the radar in order to get a stable range detection?

we used the default radar configuration file "xwr1642_profile_VitalSigns_20fps_Back.cfg" in the above experiment.

Thanks for your help.

Edward Lee
