IWR6843ISK: How can I connect Raspberry PI with IWR6843ISK to collect data?

HI TI Team,

May I ask if it is possible to connect the IWR6843ISK eva board to Raspberry PI 4? If yes, what is the detailed process?

I would like use RPI4 to connect the data through serial port and do some demo. Thanks!

Hi Yong,

In theory this would be possible although we do not have any official documentation or support for this method currently.

You would need to move over supporting files like any Visualizer GUI and all the supporting files directly onto the RPI4.

Based on if you are using the IWR6843ISK standalone or with the MMWAVEICBOOST board, you would need to get the silicon labs drivers potentially.

Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers	Latest	Only needed for if using EVM in standalone mode. https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers

Based on the application it may be beneficial to modify or remove some features of whatever Visualizer or GUI you may be running so that the RPI4 can handle the processing. Here is another e2e post related about that.
