TMP117: The accuracy and some characteristics with one-shot mode

Part Number: TMP117

Hello,

The accuracy and repeatability, tempuerture error with one-shot mode are more worse than those of 8 averages ?

I want to know how uncertainty it has.

Best regards,

sasajima

  • Hi Sasajima,

    Thanks for posting.

One-shot mode can be configured with averaging or without averaging. The temperature result has a repeatability of approximately ±3 LSBs when there is no averaging, and ±1 LSB when configured for 8 averages. Please refer to Figure 6-6 and Figure 6-7 of the datasheet:

  • Hi Nicole,

Thanks for replying every question Slight smile.

OK, but this mey be last question,

The  Temperture accuracy of one-shot mode without averaging is the same as the 8 averages?

  • Hi Sasajima,

The temperature accuracy listed in section 6.5 of the device datasheet is specified for 8 averages, which is the default setting. With no averaging the accuracy will be similar, however I can't guarantee a test condition that is not listed in the datasheet.

    Best regards,

    Nicole
