Hello everyone,

Currently, we are resetting the board using the NRST switch. But in our application, we will be using multiple antennas and placing them at a height of 3m or above. So it will not manually possible to reset using the NRST switch.

Is it possible to reset it using code?

Hi Aleena,

If you are using the ICBOOST board, there is a simple HW mod you can make that will support this. Please see the instructions below.

Populate R80 on the ICBOOST
Issue the XDS reset command

Hello Jackson,

We are using POE. So I think we can't use this.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors-group/sensors/f/sensors-forum/814241/iwr6843isk-iwr6843-remote-reset In this link it is mentioned "to implement a CLI command which reads a keyword (say "reset") from the UART CLIand call the corresponding handler function which can write this register in code". They are saying that "You can refer to the existing mmw demo code, in file mmw_cli.c to add a new CLI command, create a handler function and register it."

We tried to implement it in this way. But it didn't work out. How to create a handler and register it?

I see. In that case you may need to add a reset command in CLI. We will have more detailed instructions for this coming out soon, but for now the above E2E post for instructions on which register to write.

The above should work. Please make sure you have written to the correct register address and are properly calling the new function in CLI. Have you been able to debug this functionality?

The problem was resolved. We were able to reset using the CLI command and performed software reset.

Hi Aleena,

Are you trying to reset the MSP432 on that board? There doesn't seem to be a SW reset built in\. You can potentially use the connection to PP2, but you would need to add a command in the MCU to set this. There is probably already a way to issue a soft reset via ethernet commands.

How are you communicating with the device? Will either of these methods work?
