AWR1843: Accessing 3D radar cube in firmware level and code composer studio

Hi,

I am using urad automotive sensor which is based on AWR1843 chipset.Basically this sensor won't give the preprocessed data.So to get the preprocessed data,i have to make some changes in firmware level using code composer studio.Could someone can help me how to do it?

I am new to this...

Do you use a TI board or a custom board?
What SW release from TI are you using?
What is the preprocessed data that you would like to get?

Hi,

I have reviewed the datasheet.

It seems that this board is running the mmWave SDK demo from TI.

You can find out more information about the mmWave SDK by downloading the SDK and reviewing the user's guide provided in

https://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVE-SDK

The mmWave SDK demo will provide you the following information for detected points:

location: (x,y,z)
velocity

In order to capture raw data the TI EVM requires the use of DCA1000 card.

I don't know if the board you are using is compatible with DCA1000. Please check with manufacturer.

Without the DCA1000 card it is not possible to capture raw ADC data.

Is it possible to acces the 3D radar cube in firmware and implement my own processing?

Also,how can i do the processing on the SoC of the sensor using ccs?

Hi,

It is not possible to access the 3D radar cube using only the board you have.

You would need to capture raw 3D radar cube data and post process it.

CCS is a debug tool that requires an emulator. Please check if the board you have supports CCS.

CCS is used during development for debug purposes.

There are many videos on the ccs youtube channel.

the board is not able to debug. but it is possible to edit in ccs and flash the board using uniflash tool
