Hi, I am new here ı have some questions for my final project. I am using AWR1642 for object detection. First of all I couldn't find some chirp parameters calculations in theory.

1-) How can ı find ADC frequency and what is the relationship between ADC sampling rate and frequency.

2-) What happens at idle time ? Does Radar work at idle time or NOT ? Is signal coming at idle time or NOT?

3-) How I am gonna calculate idle time ?

Hi Hasan,

You can use TI's sensing estimator in the link to calculate the parameters of chirp configuration: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/mmwave/mmWaveSensingEstimator/ver/1.4.0/ for AWR1642.

Also, you could go through this: https://training.ti.com/intro-mmwave-sensing-fmcw-radars-module-1-range-estimation (TI training lectures) to get an idea of how all the parameters are calculated.

Idle time is the time between two chirps allowing chirp synthesis to ramp down.

Hi Akshay thank you for your answer ı understood how to calculate chirp parameters. In the project ı am gonna use SAR technique . Actually I understood how SAR technique works but ı don't understand theoretical calculation. Do you know SAR technique?
