IWR6843 Having trouble with com port connection in industrial toolbox 4.10.0

Hi TK,

Here are a few questions I have to help you troubleshoot:

• Are you using the IWR6843AOP in standalone mode or with the carrier board?
  • This new demo can only be used with the IWR6843AOP+mmWaveICBoost at this time, there is a typo in the user's guide regarding this fact that will be updated shortly
• Are your EVM boards set up for functional mode:
  • https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AD1oe9ZR1fw8A24FmQ1bgA__VLyFKFf__LATEST 
• Check device manager: is your COM port still connected?
  • 2 ports should be displayed
  • Neither should have errors or other messages
• Check device manager: Is your COM port being used by another program?

If this does not work here are a few things you could try:

• Powercycle the devices in this exact order
  • Disconnect USB and power cable
  • Connect the barrel jack power
  • Connect the USB cable for UART communication
  • Press nReset to reset the device
• Try a different PC
  • Sometimes there are permissions issues or driver issues that are difficult to identify on a single machine
  • If possible, try a PC with different permissions or security settings
