IWR6843AOPEVM: Bluetooth connection password

Part Number: IWR6843AOPEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1

Hi,

For an application we need to connect our phone to the bluetooth module of the IWR6843AOPEVM, but we need a password for this and I have no idea where it is (i do not find it).

We try "1234" and "0000" but no results, can you help me ?

Thanks,

Julie DUVAL

  • Hello,

With all the labs that currently run on the IWR6843AOPEVM there are no binaries flashed to the CC2642 BLE chip. To flash/debug the CC2642 BLE chip on the IWR6843AOPEVM will require you to connect a LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 LP via the 5x2 1.27mm pitch connector on the IWR6843AOPEVM. This will require splicing out the nReset signal and connecting to the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 LP reset signal. Additionally, the UART TX/RX will need to be spliced out if you want to route the UART TX/RX from the CC2642 through the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 LP to the PC, but not needed to flash/debug the device. Please refer the following images for context:

Once you are able to do this then you will be able to flash binaries to the CC2642 on the IWR6843AOPEVM just as you would on the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 LP. I would make sure you are familar with running devices on that LP first before moving to the process described above.

    Best regards,

    Connor Desmond
