AWR1843: The ralation between ADC Sampling frequency and IF bandwidth

Hi

    According  to  the Nyquist theorem,  the  ADC sampling frequency Fs>=2*IFmax( IF bandwidth ), however in 'the Introduction to mmwave Sensing: FMCW Radars',in the page 15 the content is as belows:

From the above formula, Fs>=IFmax,why here is it different from the content of Nyquist theorem ? It is supposed that the signal is complex here,is that right? If the signal is real, the formula should be Fs>=IFmax.Is that right?
