AWR2944: The processing speed between calling the lib file and directly calling the function

In the high corner radar demo. the MSS and DSS will call some lib file,such as libgtrack3D_awr2944.aer5f etc.If I add the file 'gtrack' to the MSS and call the function directly in the .c file not the lib file. which method is faster ?By calling the lib file or calling the .c file?

Hi Rata,

The libs are static libraries (AR archives). The linker simply picks the necessary functions from this and links them into the final binary.

So, there should be no significant difference in the two methods.

Hi Rata,

If you want numbers like this, it would be best to time it on your end. The only difference I see could be that the code existing within the same file might be better optimized (compiler may inline more things).

As general practice though, I think putting all source in a single file would be optimizing prematurely.
