AWR1843AOPEVM: AWR1843AOP Object detection demo

Part Number: AWR1843AOPEVM

Hi Ti,

We have run the "Obstacle detection AoP" demo and captured the data file and noticed that the value for "platform" in frame header is "A1642" and not getting "A1843" as mentioned in the TI resource explorer. Could you please let us know what could be wrong. We are using the pre built binaries provided by TI in the resource explorer.

Thanks & Regards,
Bevin

  • Hi Bevin,

Yes I did check the source code of "Obstacle detection AoP" lab in TI resource explorer and in all the parts of the code platform type is set to 'A1642' instead of 'A1843' as mentioned in TI resource explorer. We had overlooked this setting of platform type when we built this lab.

Ideally setting platform type to 'A1642' should have no impact on the output coming out of the device as this is just used as verification by MATLAB GUI while plotting the result as a part of magic word. I have internally raised this a bug but I think this could be corrected only if there is further development to this lab. As it should not ideally affect the output, you can leave it as such and proceed with your further use-case or you could choose to correct the platform type wherever applicable and rebuild the lab for further use.

Let me please know if you have any questions.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Akshay.
