OPT3101EVM: Understanding Super HDR Mode - Configuration

Part Number: OPT3101EVM

Hello everyone,

I have some question:

1) How super HDR mode work? i dont understand the working of the current and such as ...

2) in the calibration procedure - step 9 - when i have to locate 4 different distance to the two channels, i chose = 10mm, 500mm, 510mm, 1000mm is it ok for calibration?

after i chose this distances and more other many combination of distances (in STEP 1 simple bring up), sometimes i get a good distances but only in a specific range.

for example, for the distances i chose and wrote in my question 2, i get a measurements between to 300mm - 2000mm but when i get closer then 300m, the distance measurement going crazy and increase to 600mm... why it happen?

and when i go far then 2000m, i get a big offset on the distances.

image of the distances i wrote in the cpp file:

i tried many combination of distances, but when i get closer then 200mm or 300mm it depends to the target distances i wrote in the cpp file, the distance measurement going crazy and increasing... when i expect it to get smaller.

please help me to understand it, and how can i control it?

this is an example of configuration i did:

i also tried many combination of configuration.
maybe something wrong on my H threshold? or on my ILLUM DAC/SCALE X? i dont know how it influence to the measurements. something i do wrong?

Thanks you for help! appreciate it!!!!!!!
