AWR1843AOPEVM: Not powering on

Hi Team,

Our customer bought the EVM module last month and after being used several times, the EVM module won't power up. The 5V LED would not turn on and the device could not be recognized by the customer's computer.

The customer tried powering up the EVM through the USB Connector (J1) and via the 5V power jack (J5) following section 2.7 of the datasheet to no avail. The customer also followed the recommended duty cycle of the sensor as stated on the datasheet and didn't do anything other than use the Webpage-based cloud analysis tool.

Could you help identify the issue with the module or if it is broken and eligible for a replacement?

Is the power to this board at 5V and 2A? Have you tried to change the power supply?

Hi Ehtesham,

Yes, the board worked several times and yes, the board is being powered by a 5v, 2A power supply. I will suggest to try different 5V 2A power supply to see if it works.

Hello Marvin,

At this moment I wouldnt be able to debug the device without having hands-on access to it. It could be possible that the user did something unexpected which damaged the board. A replacement might be tough in these situations. One thing he can change is probably the power supply.
