As far as I understand, the Area Scanner Lab performs some kind of calibration at the start to filter out the static "permanent" background. The background is not displayed and only "temporary" objects are shown. I would still like to try it out. Is there a way to run the Area Scanner Lab on Linux?
My apologies, I misunderstood your original query. You most likely will just want to utilize the Out of Box Demo, and update the configuration to give you the best accuracy for you use case.
