IWR6843ISK-ODS: The point cloud we captured has no ID associated.

We phase the data from the 3D peoplecount in the toolbox lab.

However, we find that some point cloud we captured has no id associated. In other words, for some frames of data, the number of point cloud is greater than the number of targetIndex.

Is this normal?

Hello,

Because the tracker runs concurrently on the device with the detection processing, the target info (including the targetIndex) is delayed by one frame. Please see if the total number matches the previous frame of point cloud data.

In addition, we find that there is only point cloud, no target and no targetIndex in consecutive frames(even hundreds of frames). Are these point cloud data normal? If these point cloud data is normal, what do they mean?

Hello,

Yes this is very normal. The target data (target and targetindex) is only populated if there is some object being tracked. It is normal for there to be pointcloud data without anything tracked.
