Hello Experts !

Anyone would like to guide me how to use iwr1443 boost for detecting metal objects? I have only iwr1443boost EVM module.

I want to make simple project of metal detector using iwr1443boost for my semester project .

Any small guidance will be acknowledged for starting my project.

Hello Aarzoo,

In addition to the resources listed in the previous linked question, please see this experiment on detecting quarters with mmWave radar. This may show how to distinguish small objects.

In general it seems difficult to detect metal objects from non metal if there is too much motion in the scene. I don't know the details of your application, but the resources in the previous post and the OOB demo will be the best place to start. If you have more questions about the specific data or configuration let us know, but full application development is outside the scope of this forum.

i have installed mmwave sdk v2.1 .i couldn't found out of box demo in any folder of mmwave sdk2.1.

would you please locate me the exact folder to flash the file in iwr1443boost.

The OOB demo will be in the industrial toolbox download. Please see the following link.

Please follow the user guide, but there is an included prebuilt binary.

Hello Jackson!

I have downloaded the industrial toolbox 4.10.1.

There is no prebuilt binaries present in the out of box demo folder .

while when i tried to import project in CSS onl;ine it gives an error of SDK not installed.

below figure shows an error warning.

Code composer v8.3.1

MMwave industrial toolbox v4.10.1

MMwave sdk v2.1.04

I am facing such error while importing out of box demo in CCS.

there is no prebuilt binaries present for iwr1443 Boost in following folder:

C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_10_1\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_10_1\labs\Out_Of_Box_Demo\prebuilt_binaries

Hello Aarzoo,

You are correct the prebuilt binaries for the 14xx and 16xx devices are not included in that folder. Can you please use CCS to build the project for 14xx and use the output binary? You will need to download the toolbox and load the projectspec from CCS.
