Hello

I want to write a program to AWR1843, but to write a program to the microcomputer,

I need to write the program via the boot loader.

Is the boot loader in AWR1843 designed to boot when plugged in?
Or do I need to buy JTAG or a debugger in the initial state?

Hi,

You can flash the application image to sFlash connected with AWR1843 where bootloader can execute this application.

We provide mmWave SDK with peripheral drivers and mmw demo (out of box: OOB).

To start with you can follow the mmwave sdk user guide to use AWR1843 device. There you can modify the existing application and flash to device to run.

With AWR1843BOOST, it has onboard JTAG emulation where you can connect to AWR1843 device using CCS (code composer studio) to debug the application.

So to evaluate the AWR1843 device you just need AWR1843BOOST EVM.

Hello, thank you for answering the question.

You can write with either method.

If the AWR1843 has an SDK, you can use UniFlash to flash your application.

Hello Hiroyuki,

You would need AWR1843BOOST in order to flash the device/EVM using uniflash.
