AWR2243BOOST: XDS110 device not showing up at the USB port

Hi,

I just got the AWR2243BOOST EVM.

The issue is not that of recognizing the device. I have the EmuPack installed.
It is actually not showing up on my USB port ($lsusb).
I have tested the cable. Its fine.
This issue replicates on both Linux and Windows machines.
Is the driver chip not flashed ?
The jumper is in 'dev' (011) mode.

Can you please try the steps in the below thread for flashing the XDS110 firmware?

Hi aozer.
Did you take a look at the console output I attached above.
What are your thoughts? It says 0 USB devices found even when the board is up and connected.
Does Ti not flash the XDS110 firmware at the assembly line?

Sorry for the delay. Can you please post the screenshot of the console output itself?

Can you also confirm the rating of the power supply you are using?

To check that the power to the board is working correctly, can you probe the voltage on capacitors C56 and C77?

My powersupply rating is +5V / 1.2A

The console output is attached herewith.

Also attached is a photograph of the board. As we see, the NRST led is NOT on. The EVM document says that both 5V and NRST LEDs should be ON upon powering the board.

As for the voltages across C56 and C77, It is very difficult to locate them on the board. so that would probably be not possible for me.

Hi Aozer, I also have a similar problem with my AWR2243 and AWR1642.

Both LEDs i.e. 5v and NRST are on.

The rating of the power supply: 5VDC, 4A

For AWR1642:

voltage across C56 = 0.8

voltage across C77 = 3.2

For AWR2243:

voltage across C56 = 0

voltage across C77 = 3.2

what could be the problem?
