Dear expert,

What is max operation current for OPT3001-Q1?

In 7.5 Electrical Characteristics of datasheet,  IQ Quiescent current is 3.7uA typical for Full-scale lux, Active, VDD = 3.6 V.

Is this 3.7uA typical the operation current?

Then what is the max operation current?

Should Quiescent current be current in like idle mode?

    Hi Ryan,

    There is not a maximum operation current spec for the device, but the highest current that you should expect to see will be around 3.7uA. This 3.7uA is the typical current when the device reads 83k lux, which is the maximum amount of light that the device can read. The typical current for dark (0 lux) is 1.8uA, meaning that when the device is active, you can expect to see between 1.8 and 3.7uA. Quiescent current covers current both in shutdown and active mode. Shutdown mode current typical specs are from 0.3 to 0.47uA.
